In the name of God Amen.

I Edward Hougham of the Navy Office London Gentleman being in bodily health and of sound and disposing mind and memory considering the uncertainty of this transitory life do make publish and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say to my dearly beloved wife Sarah Hougham I give and bequeath all my real and personal estate whatever I may be possessed of or intititled unto at the time of my decease and I do hereby nominate and appoint my said wife sole executrix to this my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty-sixth day of November in the year of our lord one thousand seven Hundred and fifty three. Edward Hougham signed sealed and declared in the presence of us XXXX and Mary Harris

This will was proved at London the Sixth Day of August in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Nine before the worshipful Andrew XXXX xxxx Doctor of Laws surrogate of the right worshipful Edward Simpson Doctor of Laws master keeper or commissary of the prorogatory court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of Sarah Hougham widow the relict of the deceased and sole named in the said will to whom administration was granted of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of the deceased having first sworn duly to administer
